The 14th EIF World Energy Congress and Expo realized with the support of T.R. Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources took place on October 13-15, 2021 in Antalya, Turkey. Anna Furdyga, VOLTAGE Business Development Manager, participated in the Trade Mission Program and visited the EIF with an international delegation that included representatives from the following countries: Azerbaijan, Ethiopia, Ukraine, Sudan, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Iraq, Albania, Kyrgyzstan, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Germany, Tajikistan and Turkey. Oleksandra Humeniuk, Director of the European – Ukrainian Energy Agency, where VOLTAGE is a member, also participated the congress. During the conference, Ms. Oleksandra told about the current state of the renewable energy market in Ukraine, available challenges and opportunities.

The program of the EIF 2021 Congress included several conference areas, where speakers were discussing the latest developments in the energy sector, considered the stages of different energy sources development in different energy markets, as well as prospects and challenges the countries facing in electricity production, supply and storage. Issues of investment in renewable energy sources were also discussed.

There were more than 200 of local and international companies among the exhibitors of the EIF EXPO offering goods and services in the field of energy, as well as the latest market innovations. The event also provided a separate area for B2B negotiations, where the members of delegation had the opportunity to meet in person with local companies, establish useful business ties and discuss prospects for further cooperation.

The largest share of the exhibition included manufacturers of photovoltaic modules, inverters, mounting structures, MV and HV equipment, cable products, and other equipment. An active position was also taken by the manufacturers and contractors offering their products and services for the implementation of geothermal systems, as well as technologies for waste processing, which also allow producing heat and electricity. In addition, investors are very interested in projects for solar and wind power plants construction (some investors are also interested in the Ukrainian market), so their representatives are always present at such events looking for interesting and promising projects, reliable partners and equipment suppliers.

Nowadays, more and more countries are trying to meet international requirements to achieve decarbonization goals. That is why each state creates the most favorable conditions for investment in renewable energy sources, provides support to ensure good quality communication and effective cooperation between countries and foreign companies.
